This is the forth in the series of Diskimo vinyls, which are all from The Glimmers and all rather good. Each has its own appeal, but they all share the same deranged bugged out kind of charm. Most importantly, they all have a good groove and a distinct and recognisable sound. In this fourth instalment, we have two tracks. 'Kobe's in Colour' is menacing tech house that builds multiple layers of percussion and brooding synth lines into a hyperactive finale. The choice of sounds for the drums is great and resembles a mad night in some reeds: electronic insects click, synthsised frogs mate and weird EQed birds sing to each other. By the time a furious drummer is added to the menagerie it really gets going – only to suddenly finish as it's getting fucked up and fantastic.
