"Volume 2" (2LP)
Ceephax aka Andy Jenkinson encompasses an old school acid sensibility crossed with the energy and innovation of the famous "Universal Indicator" acid series, plus a melodic and moody experimental side that is revealed in his mellower moments. Following his debut remixes of Squarepusher’s "Bioslate" on Rephlex in 1998, he has released a multitude of EP’s and albums on a variety of labels (Breakin’/Firstcask/WeMe/Bug Klinik/Warp/Lo Recordings/Marguerita etc.) Disco fans will remember his blazing remix of Luke Vibert’s Kerrier District last year. "Volume Two" is the hot sequel to "Volume One", which was released in Spring ’07, and also follows ’Megalift EP’ on Planet Mu and a cassette release on his own Funbox imprint, ’Eurostar Acid’. The style is techno/acid/house/drum and bass/experimental/ambient... Basically all electronic/dance styles, i.e Braindance. Music lovers and Internet fiends will be familiar with his notorious performances on Resonance FM and Radio 1 Breezeblock sessions.
