After some impressive outings for the 3rd Strike imprint, its welcome return to the shelves for the Strawberry Sausage, with Tensnake's Mirau the latest label to fall for Erdbeerschnitzel's musical charms. Opening track "To An End" glistens with soul, un identifiable vocal submerged deep beneath drum programming of such intricacy - Timbaland in his mid 90s pomp would be jealous of it. A similar tactic is employed on "I Wonder" where vocals reminiscent of Phil Collins are submerged under a skipping groove filled with incandescent joy. Fresh from providing the highlight of Permanent Vacation's first volume of remixes of "Reckless With Your Love" Gerd Janson and Phillip Arto Mwambe Lauer team up again as Tuff City Kids to remix "To An End". Retaining that same raw house feel, the Tuff City Kids version is destined to be heard bouncing around confined darkened spaces for some time to come.
