Will Saul's Simple label is taking more than a few plaudits at the moment for its atmospheric music, and the owner's debut album 'Space Between' will add a few more to the list.
'Space Between' is a record of many styles, taking dub as a starting point for deep house, easily paced breaks and electric soul. Subtle is the word best capturing Saul's approach, as he has a talent for economising his music without it becoming boring.
Ursula Rucker, Sandy Mill and Lizzy Parks add excellent vocal contributions, with Saul content elsewhere to work his minimal instrumental magic.
