Animal Magic’s’ tribal chants and live percussion combine with sparkling melody as waves of Fender Rhodes chords invite you to drift off into their delicate texture’s. Fink's live bassline and blues guitar riff take us home. Copicat was inspired by the truly soulful melodies of Philly legend Teddy Pendergrass. Stabs of percussion and melody were run through Will's 70s WEM Copicat tape delay as the dub theme is explored in the context of disco. DJ T draws out the melancholic undertones and percussive nature of the original track and turns in a tribal acid house rework. As the arrangement develops layers of old skool drums intertwine with flashes of cut up vocal, phat analogue bass stabs and lashings of acid.
