Bastien grine, also known as bastien grino, is 28 years young - lives and parties in Nimes south of france. A DJ for 10 years, producer of some 4 years, but apart from a few releases on Scandium records, he is still an insiders´ tip, for which read relatively unknown. All about to change of course with this record, as K2 has set itself up in the space of a half dozen releases as a hotbed of new talent – working a bit like the Trapez limited series – allowing established producers to shake it up and try something different, and lesser known names to stake their claim and surge to the fore. Three tracks on offer here, characterized by the minimal style of cologne in the very best sense of those words. Perfect fit for a tasty set of nineties / noughties minimalism – finely tuned, crystal clear structures and straight, streamlined beats.
