The IRS crew present the next slamming release on their International Rescue Sounds label. Following on from their massive Ashanti: ‘Foolish’ remix 12” (IRS001) and the Swamijee & Dr Khan breaks collaboration ‘Innovate’ and Vodka’s d&b monster ‘Solid’ which featured on IRS002, the boys continue their mission to mash up the genres by releasing another split 12” with breaks on one side and d&b on the flip.

The A Side features Vodka’s breaks anthem ‘Bitch Slap’, a mash up of Prodigy style rave madness and heavyweight stomping breakbeats. Flip for the sweetness of Swamijee & Dr Khan’s ‘In Love’ a liquid drum & bass roller with more than a passing nod to the vocal house scene. Building on the success of the previous two releases and the rise in profile for the label, we fully expect these two storming tracks to take their respective scenes by storm.

IRS is a cross European collaboration between London DJ Dr Khan & Swiss maestros Swamijee & Vodka. Dr Khan has been a name on the scene for the last 12 years, with firstly his Urbanology club nights in South London in the late 90’s and more recently a four year stretch on pirate station Ruud Awakening FM. He has played all over Europe and in the USA and now writes for Knowledge Magazine and presents their monthly radio show on Life FM.

Swamijee is head honcho of Earthbeat Records, a Swiss label commited to releasing quality music, whatever the style. Recent projects include fast rising Kenyan Dancehall act Madd Family’s massive ‘Madd Prophecy’ album and the forthcoming Swiss hip hop LP from MC Pat. Swamijee has toured Europe as a musician with numerous bands and has worked with producers as diverse as Marschmellows (Germany), Darcosan (Austria) and Juan Sunshine (Switzerland).

Vodka is the IRS studio boffin, unleashing a number of amazing tracks at a prolific rate. He has djed alongside the likes of d&b heavyweights Ed Rush, Zinc, Commix & DJ Storm. Limited Copys In Stock
